Building attributes

Attributes of a building, like external views, good ventilation rates and thermal comfort, or access to transport and amenities are common criteria for selecting a site. The relevant ratings and grades of buildings often takes these into account. Premium or A Grade buildings should be expected to have:

  • Regular building management committee meetings
  • Base Building NABERS Energy rating greater than 3.5 stars
  • Lighting power density less than 12 w/m2 (at 320 lux)
  • Base Building NABERS Water rating greater than 2 stars
  • NABERS Waste and NABERS IEQ rating
  • Active environmental education, building user guides and risk management systems
  • Online tenant service request system
