BBP 2018 annual results show an acceleration towards carbon positive

The Better Buildings Partnership is delighted to celebrate another year of incredible acceleration towards carbon positive.

Last year, 75% of our members made or increased their public net zero commitments with dates commencing as early as next year, building off a 51% reduction in emissions from 2006. Our combined efforts indicate that we will achieve an 83% emissions reduction by 2030, confidently over delivering on the City’s target of a 70% reduction.

In the year ahead we will turn our attention to:

  • supporting our customers to also strive for a carbon positive future;
  • proactive partnerships to reduce and avoid waste; and
  • collaborate to make BBP buildings the healthiest, happiest, most sustainable workplaces in Australia
