Two-thirds of Sydney leases include best practice leasing
Nearly two-thirds of leases in Sydney CBD include some form of best practice – or green – leasing, according to new research released by the Better Buildings Partnership.
The Better Buildings Partnership has been working to improve the relationships between landlords and tenants with best practice leasing since late 2011. The work has been an industry-wide collaboration with luncheons and workshops, new tools like its Why choose high-performing buildings factsheet and Model lease clauses (developed by Sparke Helmore Lawyers) and publications like The Fifth Estate’s Tenants and Landlords Guide to Happiness. Over 10,000 professionals in our industry have engaged with this work through education, publications and direct engagement, and even more will do so over the coming term, as the Leasing Index Study demonstrates that green leasing is neither niche nor narrow.
