The Better Buildings Partnership latest annual report has been released, with results demonstrating a great capacity to tackle the complex challenges faced by institutional property owners.

This partnership between Sydney’s leading landlords and property managers represents half of Sydney CBD’s commercial floor space, and these latest results show how members have reduced their emissions by 47 per cent and achieved a 35 per cent reduction on total potable water use across member portfolios (both from a FY06 baseline). These impressive results have been achieved through measures such as building system upgrades and green infrastructure including tri-generation and recycled water networks.

At the end of the 2015 – 16 year, the partnership’s commercial office portfolio consisted of 90 reporting assets, a total of 2.48 million square metres of space in the Sydney city centre. Highlight projects include the partnership’s work addressing best practice leasing and waste reduction across the commercial office sector.
